How does Script&Go protect personal data ?

Script&Go protects personal data through a strict personal data treatment policy. It ensures that all appropriate measures are taken to protect data, in accordance with the regulation EU 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data relating to treatment of data of a personal nature and the free circulation of this data which repeals the Data Protection Directive (officially Directive 95/46/EC), replaced by the May 2018 The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR),a regulation in European union (EU) law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the EU and the European Economic Area (EEA).

All affiliated bodies and subcontractors engage to respect the same rules. This also means that your rights remain the same whereever your data is treated by Script&Go.

I. Data confidentiality

What personal data do we receive ?

Information on subscriber and user accounts

In view of the availability of it’s software, Script&Go reserves the right to collect the following information:

  • Personnel Identification Information

This is information that you give us and can include your name, the name of your organisation and even it’s data, email address, your user name and password to access our services.

  • User Information.

You are not identifiable with user information. This is information made available to Script&Go while you use our services, such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your device to the internet, your email address, the country where you are located, operating system, platform, device information such as camera.

 

  • Non-Personnel Statistical Information.

Statistical information is not personnel information but relates to projects. Script&Go can access this information during the use of the software and can extract it from your data. Despite this, users and projects cannot be identified.

Do we share personnel data with third parties ?

We do not sell personnel data to third parties. We can transfer personnel data to our contracted service suppliers and to our advisors who can be found abroad. Before doing this we take measures to ensure that your personal data is treated with adequate protection such as that required by specific data protection laws and the internal policies of Script&Go.

However, sometimes, we need to share or disclose personal data for a specific reason; for example :

  • We are likely to disclose or share personal information to third parties in the case of closure or liquidation of part of our company or our activities:
  • We are likely to disclose or share your personal data to comply with a legal obligation, to respect or apply our conditions of use or, even, to protect our rights, property or the security of Script&Go, our clients or any other third party.

What is sensitive personal data ?

Generally speaking, we do not seek to collect sensitive personal data through our websites. If we do, we do so in compliance with the applicable laws relating to personal data protection. If you choose to provide us with unsollicited sensitive personal data, you authorise us to use the submitted data, under conditions complying with current applicable laws.

The notion that “personal sensitive data” defines different data categories identified by European and other laws on data protection as requiring special treatment, includes in certain cases, the need to obtain your consent.

Data categories considered sensitive are as follows: information relative to your personal identity, financial information relating to your bank account, your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious, philosophical or other beliefs, syndicate, professional or trade membership physical or mental health, biometric or genetic data, sexual orientation or legal status (including alleged criminal activities).

How is data security ensured ?

We take appropriate measures to ensure the security of personal data received through the Script&Go websites, currently : www.scriptandgo.com/en, www.fiberscript.com, www.batiscript.com, www.sitediary.com. It’s important to understand that the nature of the internet is such that personal information and data can circulate on the networks linked to our systems without security measures and can be consulted and used by people to whom the data was not addressed.

 

Our site can, from time to time, contain links towards partner sites or be accessible from partner websites, communication agencies and affiliated businesses. If you follow a link towards one of these sites, please note that these sites have their own data protection policies and that we cannot be held to account or responsible for these policies. Please check these policies before submitting personal data to these sites.

Server security. Our main server providers are as follows :

  • 1&1 (used for website development) – INTERGEST SA 7 place de la gare 57200 Sarreguemines
  • Serveurs Soyoustart (filiale d’OVH) that we use for emails, support and assitance – OVH SAS – 2 rue Kellermann – 59100 Roubaix – France

We also use internal Script&Go servers that are subject to regular security controls– SCRIPT&GO, 59 boulevard d’Armorique, 35700 Rennes.

Where is your personal data treated ?

Script&Go is a French company with presence and representation abroad. As a result, the personal data that we receive can be used, stored or sent on an international level to all bodies representing Script&Go, to date present in France, Canada, the UK and Ireland.

Data storage

If you hold a client account with us, we only store your data if your account is active or for as long as is necessary for you to provide additional services such as support or feedback follow up, so that we comply to our general, legal and contractual obligations. At the end of a contractual relationship or on the simple request on the part of the client, data is archived, anonymised or destroyed within three months.

We store your personal data uniquely during the period in which services considered likely to interest you become available. If you hold a client account with us, we only hold the data if your account is active and for as long a time as necessary to provide you with additional services such as technical or other support, so that we meet our general legal or contractual obligations.

Your rights

You have the right to know the data we hold that concerns you and it’s detail, also to be able to access it and make any necessary changes. In certain circumstances, you also have the right to oppose the use of this data. II. Cookies

Script&Go uses the following cookies to personalise the user experience of it’s websites: language, user behaviour information, use of the YouTube API.

Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the websites analyse use of the sites by users. The data generated by the cookies concerning your use of the site (including your IP address) will be sent and stored by Google on servers situated in the US. Google uses this information to evaluate the use of the site, to compile reports on site activity for it’s developer and to provide other services relative to the site and use of the internet. Google services are likely to communicate this data to third parties if legally obliged to while these third parties treat the data for the Google account, including the developer of the site. Google does not recover your IP address from any data held by Google. You can disactivate the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate navigator settings. However, such disactivation can prevent the use of certain site features. By using this website, you give your express consent to your named data being treated by Google in and for the conditions and details described below.

III. Marketing Data

Marketing Data Sources

Personal data that we receive and which is used for marketing purposes, relates to the our clients’ employees or to other firms with whom we have, or are likely to have, a business relationship. We can also obtain details from public sources, including from content published on social media, with the aim of making an initial contact with a person from a current or potential client organisation.

Targetted email

We send targetted publicity emails to client employees or other organisations with whom we wish to develop or maintain a business relationship with. Our targetted emails generally include weblinks, cookies and similar technologies that allow us to know if emails are read, deleted and if links are clicked. When you click a link in a publicity email that your received from Script&Go, we save the pages of our websites that you have consulted via a cookie and the content that you have downloaded, even if you are not registered or connected to our site.

You have the right to know the data that concerns you that we hold and it’s detail, also to have access to it and to be able to make necessary changes. In certain circumstances, you also have the right, to oppose the use of it in the way that allows us to know if the emails are read or deleted or links are clicked. While you click on a link in a publicity email.

Targetted emails by Script&Go can include additional information relative to the treatment of personal data when applicable laws require it.

Client Relationship Management (CRM) database

Like many organisations, Script&Go uses a Client Relation Management database (CRM) to manage and track marketing efforts. Our CRM database includes personal data belonging to people employed by our clients or other partners with whom we have a business relationship with or with whom we wish to develop a business relationship with.

Personal data used for these ends includes commercial information necessary to the development of a business relationship:  contact details, publicly accessible information (for example through our board, published articles, press communication, public messages posted for commercial reasons, on social media or in our emails), user activity inscribed on our website and other information saved by Script&Go staff following interaction with our clients and partners. If you wish to be withdrawn from our CRM database, you can use the ‘Contact Us’ form.

Your rights

You can exercise your right to refuse to receive our marketing communication by ticking certain boxes on the forms we use to receive personal data, or by using the unsubscription mechanisms in the emails that we send. You can also exercise the right to interrupt marketing communications addressed to you or to choose the deletion of your data from our CRM database at any time by contacting us at the following address: contact@scriptandgo.com.
